Wendy Laza, M.S., Ed.S., Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Wendy works with kids (ages 6 and up), teens, and young adults managing anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, personal growth goals, and much more. She welcomes her clients with warmth and open-mindedness. Wendy tries to incorporate their passions and interests into sessions and combines Play Therapy techniques, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), strength-based approaches, Motivational Interviewing, and aspects of values-based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Kaci Crook, MA, Mental Health Counselor Intern

Kaci works with kids (ages 6 and up), teens, adults, and couples. Through a compassionate and curious style, she offers a safe place to explore feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. She believes that being comfortable, able to trust, and being vulnerable are necessary for therapeutic change. She incorporates elements from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

Alessandra Macca, MA, Art Therapist, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

Alessandra specializes in working with children and adolescents. Her approach is kind, curious, compassionate, and playful, recognizing each client and their individual experience. She will explore the art process, a unique vessel for expression where words can fall short. She also has additional training in trauma treatment.

Ellen Shewmaker, MS, Art Therapist, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

Ellen works with individuals of all ages, couples and families. She leads with curiosity, compassion, and open-minded support as you work through life’s challenges and dive into discovering who you are on a deeper level. She combines art therapy, DBT, CBT, positive psychology, and mindfulness. Art making includes drawing, painting, sculpting, creative writing, and photography. Specializations:

  • Couples Counseling

Alyssa Wence, BA, Mental Health Counselor Student Intern

Alyssa works with kids (6 ages and up), teens, adults, and couples. She uses an eclectic approach to personalize her counseling style to her clients' needs. As a student intern, she takes part in our Reduced Rates Program. Based on availability, this program offers three free sessions and a rate of $60/per session. Specializations:

  • Stress
