My therapeutic approach is centered around creating a safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic space for individuals to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I believe that each individual is unique and deserving of respect, compassion, and understanding. I strive to empower individuals to develop coping skills, build resilience, and cultivate a sense of self-awareness and self-acceptance.

Wendy sees see individuals of all ages, from children to adults.

Specializations:

  • Trauma: I am trained to work with individuals who have experienced traumatic events, including physical, emotional, or sexual abuse, and provide a supportive environment to process and integrate their experiences.

 

  • Anxiety: I utilize evidence-based techniques, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to help individuals manage and reduce symptoms of anxiety, including panic attacks, phobias, and generalized anxiety.
     

  • Depression: I work with individuals to identify and challenge negative thought patterns, develop coping skills, and improve mood regulation techniques to manage symptoms of depression.
     

  • Alcohol Use: I provide guidance and support for individuals struggling with alcohol use, including assessing motivations for change, developing coping skills, and exploring alternative coping mechanisms.
     

  • Life Transitions: I help individuals navigate significant life changes, such as career shifts, relationship changes, or major life events, by exploring their values, goals, and coping strategies.

  • Person-Centered: I prioritize the individual's unique experiences, values, and perspectives, creating a collaborative and empowering therapeutic relationship.
     

  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT): I use CBT techniques to help individuals identify and challenge negative thought patterns, develop coping skills, and improve problem-solving abilities.
     

  • Mindfulness and Meditation: I incorporate mindfulness and meditation practices to help individuals develop greater self-awareness, reduce stress, and increase emotional regulation.
     

  • Somatic Interventions: I use somatic techniques, such as breathwork, progressive muscle relaxation, and body awareness, to help individuals regulate their nervous system, reduce physical tension, and foster a sense of calm and safety
     

  • Nervous System Regulation Techniques: I teach individuals techniques to regulate their nervous system, including grounding, visualization, and self-compassion, to reduce symptoms of anxiety and stress.
