Modalities:

As a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern, I have received Level 1 training in the following evidence-based modalities:

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS): IFS is a therapeutic approach that views the mind as a system of interconnected sub-personalities. My training in IFS enables me to help clients access and integrate their inner wisdom, reduce inner conflict, and develop a more compassionate and accepting relationship with themselves.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): EMDR is a therapeutic approach that helps clients process and integrate traumatic memories. My training in EMDR enables me to help clients reduce symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), improve emotional regulation, and develop a greater sense of calm and well-being.

  • Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) model: The TIR model is a therapeutic approach that focuses on reducing the distress associated with traumatic memories. My training in TIR enables me to help clients process and integrate traumatic experiences, reduce symptoms of PTSD, and develop a greater sense of control and empowerment.

  • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT):  TF-CBT is a therapeutic approach that focuses on helping children and adults process and integrate traumatic experiences. My training in TF-CBT enables me to help clients develop coping skills, manage symptoms, and develop a greater sense of resilience and well-being.
