As a student therapist, Alyssa works under the supervision of a licensed professional to ensure the highest quality of care for her clients.
Alyssa sees clients aged 16 and up, offering a safe and supportive space for adolescents and adults to explore their mental health concerns and work towards positive change and growth.
Depression and Anxiety: Alyssa Wence specializes in working with individuals who experience depression and anxiety. She provides compassionate support to help clients navigate their emotional challenges, develop coping strategies, and improve their overall well-being.
Trauma and PTSD: Alyssa has expertise in trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She assists individuals who have experienced traumatic events, helping them process their trauma, reduce distressing symptoms, and restore a sense of safety and empowerment.
Adjustment Disorders: Alyssa supports individuals who struggle with adjustment disorders. She provides guidance and coping strategies to help clients navigate life transitions, such as moving, job changes, or relationship shifts, and facilitates their ability to adapt and find balance.
Bipolar Disorder: Alyssa specializes in working with individuals who have bipolar disorder. She offers a non-judgmental space for clients to explore their mood fluctuations, develop strategies for managing symptoms, and cultivate stability and well-being in their lives.
Personality Disorders: Alyssa has experience working with individuals who have personality disorders. She provides support and guidance to help clients gain insight into their patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving, and develop healthier coping mechanisms
and relationship skills.
Self-Harm: Alyssa offers specialized support for individuals who engage in self-harm. She creates a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore the underlying emotions and triggers, develop healthier coping strategies, and work towards recovery
Eclectic Approach: Alyssa utilizes an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from various evidence-based therapeutic modalities and techniques tailored to each client's unique needs. This approach allows her to incorporate elements from different therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based techniques, to provide personalized and effective treatment.
