Alli Griffiths, M.S.Ed.
Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
As a therapist, I care deeply about each and every one of my clients. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are.
I specialize in working with high-achieving individuals, perfectionists, Type A personalities, and those who often find themselves juggling too much. If you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, burnt out, or just tired of running on empty, you’re in the right place. My office is a safe space where you don’t have to hold it all together.
I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), an evidence-based approach that helps people better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT is highly effective for treating anxiety, stress, and burnout because it offers concrete tools and strategies that you can implement outside of sessions to help you feel better, faster.
Whether you're facing work stress, relationship challenges, or pressure to meet your own impossibly high expectations, therapy is a place to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most to you. You don't have to do this alone - I see you, and I value the opportunity to guide you on your therapy journey.

Specializations:
As a mental health therapist, Alli specializes in working with those who struggle with the following;
-
Anxiety: I help clients challenge negative thinking patterns to decrease their anxiety. I will teach you cognitive restructuring techniques so that you can ‘be your own therapist’ and manage your anxiety between sessions.

-
Stress: I help clients learn coping skills and somatic techniques to manage their stress. Together, we will implement lifestyle changes to reduce stress and focus on ways to cope.
-
Trauma: I have extensive experience working with clients who have complex post-traumatic stress disorder. I will provide a safe and supportive environment to help you process and heal from traumatic experiences.
-
Childhood Emotional Neglect: I support clients in recognizing and addressing the impact of childhood emotional neglect (CEN) on their adult lives and relationships.
-
Attachment Wounds: I use attachment theory to help clients explore and work through attachment issues to improve their relationships and overall emotional well-being.
-
Dating Coach: I work with individuals of all identities (women, men, nonbinary folks, and the LGBTQIA+ community), helping them break free from past emotional baggage by healing attachment wounds. I empower clients by teaching them to reclaim their self-worth and communicate their boundaries with confidence. My approach helps clients break unhealthy patterns of behavior and build a strong foundation of self-love and confidence. You’ll explore your sexuality, rediscover your passions, and get crystal clear on what you want in a relationship. This isn’t about rushing into anything, it’s about dating yourself first and then dating with intention to find a partner who aligns with your values.
Modalities:
I incorporate the following evidence-based modalities into my practice:
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – This is what most people think of when they think of therapy. CBT is considered the ‘golden standard’ of treatment for many mental health issues because it is an evidence-based approach. CBT is one of the most widely researched treatment modalities. Your time is valuable – let’s use something that is proven to work.
-
Radically Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (RO-DBT) – “I’m actually super chill; I just need everything to go exactly according to plan all the time.” If this resonates with you, you might be a good candidate for RO-DBT. RO-DBT helps us build resilience and flexibility, so that we are better equipped to handle life’s inevitable curveballs.
-
Psychodynamic Therapy – If you are wondering how your past impacts your present, then psychodynamic therapy may be a good fit for you. Many psychologists argue that our relationships with our caregivers shape our adult relationships. In the words of psychotherapist Terry Real, we ‘marry our past and call it fate’ if we do not take the time to learn and recognize these patterns.
