Ana Guevara
Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
I’m originally from Virginia and spent eight years serving in the military before making the move to the Sunshine State, where I’ve made the ocean my home. Outside of therapy, I enjoy traveling, meeting new people, volunteering through my church and different organizations, and attending festivals and events that bring people together. I love being around people and experiencing the many different walks of life that make each person unique. These experiences have shaped me both personally and professionally and have reminded me that there is always more to learn from the people we meet. As a therapist, I especially enjoy using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) skills and helping clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. At the same time, I believe therapy should never be one-size-fits-all. Every individual brings their own experiences, personality, strengths, and needs into the room, so I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches to create a treatment experience that feels meaningful and individualized to each client. I strongly believe in the importance of taking care of ourselves, and I believe that self-care can look different for everyone. Mental health is a journey that truly never stops. It is such an important part of our overall lives, relationships, and well-being, and I consider it an honor and privilege to walk alongside each client throughout that journey. Finding the right therapist is important, and if we’re a great fit, that’s wonderful! I look forward to getting to know you, learning about your story, and supporting you wherever you are in your journey.
