Sam Zorn, MA
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Sam works with adolescents and adults, although she has worked with clients of all ages. She has experience working with families, couples, and individuals with issues such as addiction, mood disorders, self-harm behaviors, anxiety, anger, identity/sexuality development, body image, self-esteem, trauma, personality disorders, and grief. Prior to working in private practice, Sam worked in both adult and adolescent substance abuse facilities treating clients living with addictions, many of whom were involved in the criminal justice and child welfare systems.
Sam prides herself on being a multiculturally competent counselor and wants her clients to find comfort in not having to explain what it means to be a part of their unique communities. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community herself, Sam is an LGBTQIA+ affirming counselor who is empathic to the specific experiences of this community. Sam utilizes a sex-positive approach in therapy, meaning she welcomes and affirms sexual diversity and differing desires and relationship structures.
Sam practices an integrative approach to counseling and offers a warm, non-judgmental, and empathic space for clients to work through their concerns. Sam believes that the client is the expert of their own life and strives to empower clients by helping them identify what is best for themselves. Sam enjoys working collaboratively with clients and tailoring therapy to meet the needs of the individual client.
Whether you feel unsure, overwhelmed, stuck, or just need a safe space to talk, Sam would feel honored to support you in finding peace and empowerment within your life.
