Kelvin Rivera, MA

Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

Life Coach

I am passionate about supporting clients as they explore themselves, their struggles, and their goals. Using an integrative approach, I guide clients to welcome emotions, sensations, thoughts, and feelings (including unwanted or uncomfortable ones) and develop self-compassion. You will explore what you value, cope with life transitions and overcome struggles as you develop tools that help you create the life you want.

I work with kids, teens, adults, couples, and families. Although I work with clients with a variety of growth goals and coping with varied issues, my primary focus is on clients who are exploring their existence and defining themselves and what they want in life. Some examples are those learning about and coping with anxiety, intrusive thoughts, self-esteem or self-image issues, impulsivity, ADHD, relationship issues, parenthood, and cultural identity.

I deeply appreciate the idea of the wounded healer. We all have our own set of struggles and painful life experiences and are learning about ourselves as we change through our lifespan. I look forward to walking at your side as you heal, rediscover yourself, and set forward behaviors that align with what you want for your life.

I am bilingual (English/Spanish).
