Family Therapy is when some or all members of a family attend therapy to create stronger family bonds and the skills to get through stressful times. Family therapy can be improving relationships with children, partners or other family members. Specific issues such as mental illness, substance abuse and relationship conflicts can be discussed. Any situation that can
cause stress, grief, anger or conflict can be addressed and a licensed clinician will teach you the coping skills and give your family the support to bring you closer together. In family therapy you can expect to learn to solve problems, express thoughts and emotions in a productive manner, explore family roles, identify behavior patterns that contribute to conflict, goal setting, navigating strengths and weaknesses. Family Therapy can give your family back a feeling of togetherness.
